Mazda 6 Service Manual: Shift-lock inspection
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
2. Verify that the selector lever is in P position.
3. Depress the brake pedal and verify that the selector lever can be shifted from P position.
- If a malfunction is found, inspect the interlock cable. (See INTERLOCK CABLE INSPECTION.)

Resistance Inspection
1. Disconnect the CKP sensor connector.
2. Measure the resistance between CKP sensor terminals A and B using an
ohmmeter.
