Verify that the ignition key cannot be pulled out except in P position.
- If a malfunction is found, inspect the interlock cable. (See INTERLOCK CABLE INSPECTION.)

3. Depress the brake pedal and verify that the selector lever can be shifted

When performing an asterisked (*) troubleshooting inspection, shake the
